History

Thousands of Acadians and their friends from the Maritimes, Québec, the New England States, Louisiana, Texas, France and elsewhere will once again this year, return to Acadie to visit this beautiful historic homeland.

In 2004, they came together for the 3rd World Acadian Congress and the 400th anniversary of the founding of Port Royal in Nova Scotia - the first permanent settlement in North America.

In keeping with the many colourful festivities and homecomings taking place in 2009, a specially designed, unique and practical keepsake is now available to you as a reminder of the strong Acadian spirit and warm hospitality that reigns throughout this wonderful Maritime region.
